Timothee Chalamet pokes fun at award show failures as actor pulls double duty on ‘SNL’

It was a Timothee Chalamet take-over on “Saturday Night Live” — with the Oscar nominee pulling double-duty as both host and musical guest.

The New York native returned for his third time hosting and poked fun at his inability to take home the hardware at Hollywood awards nights in his opening monologue.

“I just keep losing, and each time it gets harder to pretend it doesn’t sting,” Chalamet joked before showing a compilation of him losing awards to Gary Oldman and Mahershala Ali.

Timothee then teased that the Bob Dylan songs he will perform during the show “may not be Dylan’s most popular” — but are his personal favorite songs.

“[SNL is] either really nice for letting me do this or they’re really mean,” Timothee said before throwing it to break.

Chalamet is nominated for Best Actor for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in the biopic “A Complete Unknown.”
