Tracee Ellis Ross’ Los Angeles home burglarized

Burglars busted into Tracee Ellis Ross’ Los Angeles home and made off with more than $100,000 worth of jewelry and handbags, according to reports.

Ross, best known for her roles on “Black-ish” and “Girlfriends,” was out of town when the break-in occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning, KNBC confirmed Tuesday.

Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department responded to the residence around 12:30 a.m., after staff members arrived to find it had been ransacked. Following a preliminary investigation, authorities determined three intruders shattered a glass door and then stole a slew of expensive accessories before fleeing the scene.

So far, no arrests have been announced in connection with the burglary, but police did recover security video from the property.

It marks the latest in a recent string of burglaries targeting Los Angeles residences owned by high-profile figures and celebrities.

In August, a suspect, identified as Michael Bond, attempted to break into the home of singer Lionel Richie, who was inside at the time. Bond was allegedly scared off when he triggered the security system, and he was arrested a few blocks away. And back in June, thieves broke into Brad Pitt’s Los Feliz residence through a window. Police said the “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” actor was out of town at the time of the intrusion.

The suspects “broke into the residence via the front window, ransacked the location, then fled the location with miscellaneous property,” police told People.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s home was also burglarized earlier this year, on Valentine’s Day.
