Gov. Kathy Hochul plans to meet with President Trump in the White House Friday, she told reporters Thursday.
The two are expected to discuss a range of topics, likely including Trump’s attempt to scrap congestion pricing. Hochul and Trump also met last month in the Oval Office.
“Now there will be a little disruption,” Trump continued.
The meeting comes days after Hochul blasted Trump for his tariff spat with Canada that resulted in Ontario temporarily implementing a 25% surcharge on energy exports to some U.S. states earlier this week.
“We’ve been ripped off as a country for many, many years,” Trump told reporters this morning, refusing to back down on his tariffs. “Why should we subsidize another country for $200 billion?”
