President Trump said he feels “badly” for Tiger Woods but wouldn’t say whether or not the golf legend was hurt.
“I feel so badly. He’s got some difficulty. There was an accident and that’s all I know. Very close friend of mine. He’s an amazing person, amazing man. But some difficulty,” Trump told reporters when he landed in Miami to speak at the Future Investment Initiative Priority Summit.
Asked if Woods was hurt, Trump replied: “I don’t want to talk about it.”
He and Woods are longtime friends. Trump awarded Woods the Presidential Medal of Freedom in May 2019.
