A never-before-seen email written by Jeffrey Epstein says President Trump once spent hours with one of the victims of the notorious late sex trafficker, according to documents released Wednesday by congressional Democrats.
Epstein told convicted accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell in a 2011 email that Trump spent significant time at Epstein’s palatial mansion with the unidentified victim, but authorities were not aware of the contact between the young woman and the future president.
“That dog that than hasn’t barked is Trump. (The victim) spent hours at my house with him,” Epstein wrote to Maxwell. “He has never once been mentioned…police chief etc.”
Maxwell replied: “I have been thinking about that.”
The April 2011 email is one of several Epstein messages mentioning Trump that were released by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee.
Another Epstein email to author Michael Wolff cryptically mentioned a victim, whose name was redacted, and the words “mara lago” and said “of course trump knew about the girls.”
Democrats said the revelations raise major new questions about Trump’s ties to Epstein.
“This would raise questions about whether he’s being honest,” said Rep. Greg Landsman (D-Ohio), a member of the panel. “This is very serious stuff.”
The revelation comes as Democrats are on the verge of reaching the 218 House members needed to force a vote on a measure demanding the release of all Epstein files.
Rep. Adelita Grijalva (D-Arizona) is expected to be finally sworn into office later Wednesday by House Speaker Mike Johnson nearly two months after she won a special election for the seat, raising to 214 the number of Democrats in the chamber.
Four Republicans have joined all Democrats in signing the Epstein petition.
Trump admits he was once friendly with Epstein from their Palm Beach high society circles, but insists he cut off ties when he found out Epstein was a pervy “creep” and because Epstein poached young female employees from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club.
Trump, 78, has never been credibly accused of any Epstein related criminal wrongdoing.
