Two men fatally struck standing next to Queens food truck, driver who hit them also dead

Two men standing next to a food truck died Tuesday morning in a horrific Queens crash that also killed the driver who struck them, police said.

A man driving a 2010 Toyota Corolla north on 42nd St. in Astoria rammed into the men standing by the food truck near 19th Ave. about 8:40 a.m., cops said.

The driver spun out of control after hitting the two pedestrians, only coming to a stop after striking a Volvo making a U-turn on 42nd St., cops said.

One of the pedestrians, a 42-year-old man, died at the scene.

The other pedestrian, a 70-year-old man, was rushed by medics to Elmhurst Hospital along with the driver who struck them. Both of those men died at the hospital.

The names of the pedestrians were not immediately released. Cops were still working to determine the identity of the Corolla driver.

The driver of the Volvo wasn’t seriously injured.
