Two people shot near historic Stonewall Inn in Manhattan, with one person critical



Two people were shot Sunday near the historic Stonewall Inn in Manhattan, including one person in critical condition from a gunshot to the head, police and sources said.

Shots rang out shortly after 10 p.m. in Sheridan Square in the West Village, which was teaming with revelers at the culmination of Pride Month. One of the victims was shot in the head, according to a police source. The other victim is less severely wounded, the source said.

Medics transported both victims to Bellevue Hospital.
