Two young men were shot, one fatally, when a gunman opened fire at them on a Brooklyn street, cops said Friday.
The two victims, ages 21 and 25, were on Avenue L near E. 94th St. in Canarsie at about 10:40 p.m. Thursday when the unidentified suspect opened fire.
The 21-year-old victim was found sprawled out on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head when police arrived, cops said. The 25-year-old victim had been shot in the right leg.
Both victims were taken to Brookdale University Hospital, where the younger man died. His name was not immediately disclosed Friday.
The older victim is expected to survive, cops said.
So far, he’s refused to talk to police about what happened, a police source with knowledge of the case said.
Cops on Friday were searching for surveillance video that could help investigators determine what happened and identify the shooter.
