Tyler Fischer says he’s banned from Fox News after asking staffer out

The rank and file at Fox News may have learned their hard lesson when it comes to allegations of workplace misconduct.

The right-wing cable channel, which has settled multiple sexual harassment lawsuits and was the subject of the 2019 MeToo movie “Bombshell,” is now being blasted by one of its own, who says he was banned from Fox News for initiating a workplace romance.

Comedian Tyler Fischer, a regular guest on late-night series “Gutfeld!,” claims he was blacklisted after asking “an employee out for coffee,” slamming the conservative network for going “full woke.”

After almost 2 years I will no longer be on @Gutfeldfox TV show,” he announced on social media this week. “Sadly, they have gone full woke and kicked me off for a reason that is beyond hard to believe. What was my woke crime? I asked an employee out for coffee.”

Fischer said he has “proof” that’s the reason he got booted from the show, and is now “seeking legal counsel for defamation.”

The New York City-based content creator added that it’s “not illegal or against any rules at Fox to ask a grown adult for coffee, but in the woke mind virus world, any advance by a man … is now turned into a crime.”

Fischer said the reason for him being banned is evidence that Fox News, a leader in the fight against so-called “wokeness” in America, is just spewing “empty words.”

Despite Fischer claiming he was only “being chivalrous and doing what men have done forever (showing interest in women by offering to take them on a date),” an unidentified source told The Hollywood Reporter that the interaction in question “wasn’t a friendly thing.”

The source alleged the comedian grabbed the female employee’s cellphone, put his number in her contacts list and then “demanded” to know if she got the number.
