Upstate NY man, woman charged with murder in Oswego stabbing

An upstate New York man and woman are facing multiple charges in connection with a fatal stabbing in Oswego early Friday morning, authorities said.

Scott Sullivan, 24, of Fulton, and Rebecca Manchester, 44, of Oswego, were arrested on murder and related charges in the stabbing death of 41-year-old Kevin Fatcheric, the Oswego City Police Department said in a press release.

Oswego police responded to the incident on West Albany Street around 3:30 a.m. and found a male victim suffering from a stab wound to the chest, officials said.

The victim, later identified as Fatcheric, was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

An investigation conducted by Oswego detectives led to the arrest of the two suspects, who have since been charged with murder, assault and robbery, authorities said. Manchester was also charged with criminal possession of a weapon.

Authorities did not offer details on Sullivan and Manchester’s relationship or whether they knew the victim.

Anyone with information related to the investigation is asked to contact the Oswego Police Department at (315) 342-8120. Calls will be kept confidential.
