Marvel Studios is currently announcing the cast of “Avengers: Doomsday” on a livestream. The film is set to hit theaters on May 1, 2026.

The upcoming movie is being directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, who previously helmed four Marvel films including 2018’s “Avengers: Infinity War” and 2019’s “Avengers: Endgame.”

Marvel announced at San Diego Comic-Con last year that Robert Downey Jr. is returning to the franchise as the villain Victor von Doom/Doctor Doom. The actor previously played Tony Stark/Iron Man, who died in “Endgame.”

“Avengers: Doomsday” will be followed by “Avengers: Secret Wars,” set for release on May 7, 2027.

Chris Hemsworth

Hemsworth, 41, is back as Thor. He’s played the God of Thunder in 9 Marvel movies so far.

Vanessa Kirby

Kirby, 36, is making her Marvel debut as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman in “Fantastic Four: First Steps,” which comes out on July 25, 2025.

Anthony Mackie

Mackie, 46, is returning as Sam Wilson/Captain America. He just starred in “Captain America: Brave New World.”

Sebastian Stan

Stan, 42, will play Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier again in “Avengers: Doomsday.” Before that, he’ll appear in “Thunderbolts,” out May 2, 2025.

Letitia Wright

Wright, 31, is reprising her role as Shuri/the new Black Panther. She’s already been in four Marvel movies, including “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” which filmed after Chadwick Boseman’s tragic death.

Paul Rudd

Rudd, 55, is shrinking down into Scott Lang/Ant-Man again, a role he’s played in multiple MCU films already.

Wyatt Russell

Russell, 38, is back as John Walker/US Agent. He previously appeared in the series “Falcon and the Winter Soldier” and will be in “Thunderbolts.”

Tenoch Huerta Mejia

Tenoch Huerta Mejia, 44, last played Namor in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” where he was the main antagonist.

Moss-Bachrach, 48, will make his Marvel debut as Ben Grimm/The Thing in “Fantastic Four: First Steps” before “Avengers: Doomsday.”

Simu Liu

Liu, 35, is reprising his role as Shang-Chi from his 2021 stand-alone film.
