A posthumously published memoir by Virginia Giuffre, one of sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein’s most prominent accusers, will hit bookstores this fall, nearly six months to the day after her death by suicide.
Giuffre’s allegations helped land Epstein and co-conspirator socialist Gislaine Maxwell in prison, and inspired other victims to come forward. She worked with award-winning journalist and author Amy Wallace on the book and had finished the manuscript before taking her life on April 25 at age 41.
The 400-page “Nobody’s Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice” will come out on Oct. 21, publisher Alfred A. Knopf told The Associated Press, as per her last wishes. Giuffre emailed Wallace a few weeks before she died, declaring it her “heartfelt wish” for the memoir to see the light of day, “regardless” of her circumstances.
“In the event of my passing, I would like to ensure that ‘Nobody’s Girl’ is still released,” Giuffre wrote to Wallace, according to Knopf. “I believe it has the potential to impact many lives and foster necessary discussions about these grave injustices.”
Giuffre was 16 and working at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida in the early 2000s when Maxwell lured her away to work for Epstein. What followed were three years of being flown around the world as part of Epstein’s sex-trafficking ring, to be exploited by influential men. Those included Britain’s Prince Andrew, who she sued and later settled with. He and all the others who have been implicated have consistently denied the allegations.
Epstein was arrested in 2019 and died by hanging a few weeks later in a death ruled as suicide. Maxwell was convicted on sex trafficking and other charges in 2021.

“The content of this book is crucial, as it aims to shed light on the systemic failures that allow the trafficking of vulnerable individuals across borders,” Giuffre wrote in the email, which Knopf included in its statement Sunday announcing the publication date. “It is imperative that the truth is understood and that the issues surrounding this topic are addressed, both for the sake of justice and awareness.”
Giuffre’s “unsparing and definitive account” was “both vigorously fact-checked and legally vetted,” Knopf said, noting that Trump is not mentioned in it.
