‘Walking Dead’ star Norman Reedus’ son, Mingus, arrested for assaulting woman: NYPD

The son of “Walking Dead” star Norman Reedus was busted Saturday morning for assault in Manhattan, cops said.

Mingus Reedus, 25, was charged with assault and criminal obstruction of breathing after cops responded to a 911 call of an assault around 8:40 a.m. at W. 16th St. and Eighth Ave. in Chelsea, where they found a 33-year-old woman who had suffered minor injuries to her neck and legs, police said.

EMS transported the woman to Bellevue Hospital where she was in stable condition.

Reedus’ arraignment at Manhattan Criminal Court was pending Saturday evening.

This isn’t the first time the young fashion model has had a run-in with law enforcement. In September 2021, Reedus, then 21, was charged with misdemeanor assault after allegedly slugging a 24-year-old woman one evening during the Feast of San Gennaro in Little Italy at Mulberry and Grand Sts.

Reedus told the Daily News then that the incident was a misunderstanding. He said that the woman he was accused of hitting appeared drunk, and that her friends were the aggressors, having “swarmed” him after physically bumping into his group at the festival. He said he “threw his arm out” to protect himself and accidentally hit the woman.

“It was instinct,” he told The News. “I was reacting to them swarming me and was afraid for the safety of my group.”
