Watch Dick Van Dyke nail this classic ‘Mary Poppins’ song at 99

And this is how it goes.

Hollywood legend Dick Van Dyke, 99, treated a crowd of fans to something special on Sunday when he sang the classic “Mary Poppins” song “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” during an event in Malibu, Calif.

Van Dyke first performed the beloved tongue twister tune in 1964 when he starred as the chimney sweep Bert alongside Julie Andrews’ titular Mary Poppins. More than 60 years later, and the “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” star reprised the song without a single mistake.

A video of the stunning performance was shared on Instagram over the weekend by a lucky attendee who was in the audience at Vandy Camp – the monthly event hosted by Van Dyke and his wife, Arlene Silver, at Aviation Nation Dreamland to raise money for various charitable causes.

This month’s proceeds went to the Los Angeles Emergency Preparedness Foundation (LAEPF) Community Brigade, per Entertainment Weekly. Last month’s event raised money for relief following the destructive Palisades Fires.

“Actual dream come true today seeing [Dick Van Dyke] in person,” the lucky attendee wrote alongside the clip of the famous entertainer singing “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.”

But the “Mary Poppins” favorite was not the only number that Van Dyke sang on Sunday, because the video also captured the almost 100-year-old “Bye Bye Birdie” actor performing several hits from his 78-year career – including the theme song to “The Dick Van Dyke Show.”

Van Dyke’s Vandy Camp performance on Sunday, April 20, came the same day that he and his wife sat down with People to discuss their 13-year marriage and 46-year age gap.

“We get along so well,” Van Dyke told the magazine.

“We just care about each other so much,” Silver, 53, added.

“Everybody said it wouldn’t work,” the “Mary Poppins” star continued, before his wife chimed in, “Yeah. I mean, it’s like eerie how well it works. People the same age don’t last.”

Van Dyke also detailed the first time he met Silver, a makeup artist, producer and actress, backstage at the SAG Awards in 2006.

“I never said hello to a strange girl in my life. I was too scared,” he recalled. “But I was at a show backstage and she walked by, and for some reason, I just jumped up and said, ‘Hi, I’m Dick.’ There’s something about her that got me, and I was right.”

As for their Malibu home, which almost burned down in the wildfires, the pair said that they “love it” and it is their “favorite place.”

“We just love being home,” Silver said. “We love Malibu, and it’s our favorite place, our house especially. So this is like our, you’re at our house. We’re so grateful. Our house did get hit by the Franklin fire, but in the scheme of things, we got very lucky.”

“And I’m seven months from a hundred,” Van Dyke, who still goes to the gym three times a week, added.
