According to TMZ, LAPD officers responded to a hit-and-run on a freeway, and three suspects fled the scene on foot, with one climbing over the embankment and running through a nearby residential street.

The suspect allegedly tried to blend in with the locals by removing some of his clothing, but his plan was reportedly foiled by Scott’s wife, Jillian Lauren.

As officers began looking for the suspect and closing off streets, Lauren reportedly exited her home with a gun in her hand and began firing, presumably trying to hit the suspect.

Police yelled for her to drop the gun — and when she didn’t, they opened fire, reported TMZ.

The musician’s wife was allegedly struck in her shoulder.

The outlet reported she has since been booked for attempted murder.

The Post has reached out to Weezer and Lauren’s reps and the LAPD for comment.

This is a developing story…
