Harvey Weinstein accuser Jessica Mann gushed about how “easy” it was to “love” the disgraced ex-Hollywood bigwig — just two days after he allegedly raped her, according to a bombshell note introduced Thursday at his third Manhattan trial.
Mann, a former actress, typed the note, titled “Thoughts,” on her cellphone on March 20, 2013 and the judge determined that it was “clear” that it was in reference to Weinstein.
“Do I love him or the idea of him? With him—easy. The idea of expanding that—fulfilling,” Mann mused — two days after she said she was sexually assaulted by Weinstein in a room at the DoubleTree hotel in Manhattan.
Mann’s love note became the center of attention Thursday just after the court took their afternoon lunch break.
Weinstein’s attorneys said they wanted to press Mann on the writing they said was referring to the Miramax perv.
“This is her complex feelings of starting to fall in love with a married man. She talks about that,” attorney Marc Agnifilo said in his bid to introduce it at trial.
Judge Curtis Farber quizzed Mann on the note, asking her if she had been dating anyone at the time she was allegedly raped by Weinstein.
“I feel like because there’s a point that it was an open relationship, but I can’t specifically remember at this point,” Mann said, referring to how Weinstein had allegedly told her that he was in an “open relationship” with then-wife Georgina Chapman.
The judge determined that it was “clear” that Mann was referring to Weinstein in the note before allowing his attorneys to get it into evidence.
Mann — who testified that Weinstein raped her on two separate occasions — was on the witness stand for a third day before she was excused early by the judge when she expressed feeling light headed and “spacey.”
She spent the entire day being grilled by defense attorney Teny Geragos on how she became acquainted with Weinstein, the love note, which she read to the jury, and the alleged “failed threesome” with an Italian actress.
Weinstein, 74, is being accused for a third time by Mann of raping her in March 2013 — in addition to a separate attack in Beverly Hills in late 2013 or early 2014.
Weinstein was initially convicted in 2020 before the verdict was overturned by an appeals court.
At his retrial last year, the jury couldn’t agree on a decision on Mann’s charge.
On Thursday, Mann was asked about an unpublished blog post which she wrote about when Weinstein allegedly tried to force her into a tortuous threesome with him and Italian actress Emanuela Postacchini.
In the post, Mann fantasized about being able to “play with this real life Barbie doll.”
She testified that she had a “full-on breakdown” when she was inside the room with Weinstein and Postacchini — but said that she was just “trying to write something funny” later about the would-be ménage à trois.
“I was ushered around a party when I was introduced to what I can only describe as Jesus as a woman,” Mann wrote in the raunchy blog, referring to Postacchini.
When asked by Geragos to confirm that she touched Postacchini both in real life and in the blog, Mann snapped at the attorney for trying to imply that the rest of the account was true.
“I have been explicit that this blog is not a record of what happened. So we can pick apart whatever you want,” Mann testified. “It is not a record of that night and I have taken some inspiration from that.”
Mann returns to the witness stand Friday to resume cross examination.
