Mamie Laverock is back with her “When Calls The Heart” cast, months after her five-story near-fatal hospital fall.
The 20-year-old Hallmark actress shared a photo on Oct. 1 with her co-stars at Hallmark’s Hearties Family Reunion event last month. The weekend for the network’s fans took place on Sept. 13-15 at the Executive Hotel Vancouver Airport in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada.
Laverock — who was on life support after plunging several stories from a balcony during a hospital stay in May — was using a walker while posing on the red carpet with her castmates.
The young star smiled and made a heart with her hands for the photo while wearing a long dress and white sweater for her return to the spotlight.
“At the end of every rainbow there is a pot of gold. Returning to the warm light of the When Calls The Heart reunion,” Laverock captioned the photo via Facebook. “I love you.”
The star was 19 when she ended up in critical care after the terrifying fall.
Her parents, Rob and Nicole Compton, started a GoFundMe campaign and revealed details of the incident.
After spending two weeks in “intensive treatment” in the hospital for an unspecified medical emergency, Laverock “was escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital and taken up to a balcony walkway from which she fell five stories,” per the fundraiser page.
“She sustained life threatening injuries, has undergone multiple extensive surgeries and is currently on life support,” her family wrote at the time, adding, “We are all devastated, in shock, at this intensely difficult time.”
Laverock played Rosaleen Sullivan for nine episodes in the show, which follows Elizabeth Thornton, a school teacher from a wealthy family who leaves for the big city to teach in a small mining town. Actress Erin Krakow stars as Thornton and appeared alongside Laverock and Jack Wagner in the reunion photo.
When she was placed on life support, Hallmark Media told The Post: “We are deeply saddened to hear the news about Mamie. As a beloved member of our ‘When Calls the Heart’ community, we wish her and her family peace, comfort and many prayers during this difficult time.”
Laverock turned 20 in July amid her recovery. Her mother called it her “miracle birthday.”
“Mamie moved onto her stomach, pushed herself up and held onto me … at that moment we realized we could have our first hug,” Nicole’s post, which included a picture of their embrace, read. “Thank you Rob for capturing this moment.”
Laverock’s homecoming was documented on her Facebook page in August.
“Dreams do come true. Welcome Home Mamie,” the caption of the post read, showing a handmade “Home Sweet Home” and a decorated table with a balloon arch and rainbow cake with a candle.
Despite being home, her Facebook page revealed she still had a long journey ahead of her.
“She’s still severely injured but we will take care of her privately,” a response from her page to a fan read. “She needed to be at home. So happy for her. She made it this far… next chapter. It’s a blessing to have her home.”
