There are only a few more chances to see who The Who are.
As of now, Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend have just 11 concerts remaining on their farewell ‘The Song Is Over Tour.’
Then, that’s it. Finito.
No more “Baba O’Riley,” no more “Who Are You,” no more “Won’t Get Fooled Again” live.
Ever.
If you want to pay your respects to one of the greatest rock groups of all time — and cross them on your concert-going bucket list — tickets are available for all upcoming goodbye gigs.
That includes their shows at Long Island’s Jones Beach Theater on Thursday, Aug. 28 and New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Saturday, Aug. 30.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on tickets for the Jones Beach concert was $140 including fees on Vivid Seats.
Prices start at $110 including fees for the MSG set.
Pop chartreuse Feist of “1234” fame will serve as the special guest both evenings.
Based on our findings from past concerts, the Rock Hall of Famers typically perform approximately 20 songs live. “My Generation,” “Love Reign O’er Me,” “Eminence Front,” “You Better, You Bet” and Pinball Wizard” are just a few of the most notable tracks in addition to those mentioned above.
“Rather than limp out like some of their contemporaries, Daltrey and Townshend know to call it quits at the height of their powers,” The Post wrote in a rave review of the band’s recent concert at Newark’s Prudential Center. “Goodbyes are never easy but The Who, well, they made theirs triumphant.”
