LCD Soundsystem is coming home for the holidays.
For the fifth consecutive year, James Murphy’s one-of-a-kind electro group will put on a November/December New York residency.
This one, like in 2024, will go down exclusively at Queens’ Knockdown Center, which The Post described as “one of New York’s raddest, grimiest and punkest indie concert venues that defies categorization.”
The 12 shows — which feature various opening acts (announced at a later date), nightly afterparties with live DJs, a DFA swap meet, and a Murphy’s Four Horsemen wine bar pop-up — run at the lively GA space from Nov. 20 through Dec. 13.
If you’d like to be there, tickets are available for all 12 gigs even though the on sale isn’t officially until Friday, Sept. 19.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on tickets for any one LCD Soundsystem 2025 Knockdown Center show was $187 including fees on Vivid Seats.
Other shows have tickets starting anywhere from $190 to $193 including fees.
“I thought the show was great,” comedian and fan Eli DiSabato told The Post after seeing LCD Soundsystem on Aug. 17 in Columbus, OH. “The crowd was as jazzed as a crowd full of middle-aged, white neoliberals could be on a Sunday night.”
Based on our findings at Set List FM, the ’00s icons performed 18 songs that night over three sets. Highlights included “Home,” “Losing My Edge,” “Someone Great,” “New York, I Love You but You’re Bringing Me Down” and “All My Friends” among others.
More recently, the Grammy winners lent their talents to Asbury Park’s annual Sea.Hear.Now Festival.
“Princeton Junction’s own James Murphy casually stretched his back before stepping in front of the microphone as LCD Soundsystem ushered the synths of “Tribulations.” (2005). For over an hour, the Park stage was a dance party as the dance-punk band played favorites such as “North American Scum” (2007) and “Dance Yrself Clean” (2010) under the reflection of their trademark silver disco ball, which hung above them,” NJ.com reported.

LCD Soundsystem new music
Fans are likely aware the band hasn’t released a full-length’s album worth of new music since 2017’s “american dream.” Still, James Murphy and co. have kept busy contributing the joyous, longing “new body rhumba” to Noah Baumbach’s 2022 film “White Noise” and dropping the bleep-bloop heavy single “x-ray eyes” in November 2024.
In addition to those two tracks, they also lent their talents to the menacing “Dancer” from IDLES’ 2024 album “TANGK” and gave the thumb-up to Tom Sharkett’s tropical reimagining of the band’s transcendent “Home.”
