Where to buy tickets, schedule

Iron Maiden‘s fearless leader is embarking on a side quest.

Bruce Dickinson — not to be confused with Christopher Walken’s record producer character in the timeless “SNL” sketch “More Cowbell” — just announced he’s hitting the road with a different backing band in support of his 2024 album “The Mandrake Project.”

Midway through the 20-city ‘Mandrake Project Tour’ run, the 66-year-old metal icon is scheduled to drop into Brooklyn’s newly-opened Brooklyn Paramount on Wednesday, Sept. 10.

“We are thrilled to be able to take The Mandrake Project out for a proper tour of North America,” Dickinson shared via Instagram.

“Last year we did a couple of sold-out U.S. West Coast dates before heading to South America and the response was just incredible. This time we will add ‘Shadow of The Gods’ to the setlist for this incredible band to perform plus a few other gems so we are really looking forward to seeing our fans again all over the country and for a couple of shows up in Canada.”

In addition to the tour, the Nottinghamshire native also has ten shows with Iron Maiden and a pair of exciting solo festival headlining spots lined up this summer at Rocklahoma and Louder Than Life.

Fans who want to see him live can purchase tickets for all upcoming Bruce Dickinson shows on sites like Vivid Seats; the official on-sale for ‘The Mandrake Project Tour’ is Friday, March 7.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

04.) “Afterglow of Ragnarok”

05.) “Tears of the Dragon”

07.) “Resurrection Men”

08.) “Rain on the Graves”

09.) “Frankenstein” (The Edgar Winter Group cover) (Partially played)

10.) “Book of Thel”

14.) “Alexander the Great” (Iron Maiden song)

Bruce Dickinson new music

Last March, Dickinson dropped his seventh studio album “The Mandrake Project.”

The record, his first since 2005’s “Tyranny of Souls,” is a heavy affair. Dramatic, searing vocals with lyrics about “Ragnarok,” “Hell,” “Graves,” “Wounds” and “Gods.” Somehow, it’s still a rip-roaring headbanger.

“Afterglow of Ragnarok” gets the party started and sets the epic tone. This is operatic stadium anthem rock at its finest. That axiom holds true for the remainder of the “The Mandrake Project’s” 59-minute runtime. Each song is a foreboding balls-to-the-wall shrieker. If this is what you’re into, the offering is a heckuva experience.

Personally, we were most moved by the Eastern-inspired “Fingers in the Wounds” — which sounds like a fiercer Transsiberian Orchestra — as well as the thumping, guitar-solo heavy jam “Mistress of Mercy” and reflective ballad “Face in the Mirror.” For once, Dickinson steps back, unplugs and still has the same powerful effect.

Make sure to stick around until the bitter end if you haven’t heard the album yet. The pulsating, hard-charging “Shadow of the Gods” and ten-minute “Sonata (Immortal Beloved)” take “The Mandrake Project” out on a high note.
