Ethel Cain is pulling triple duty this year.
In January, the experimental folk-rocker released the ambient noise rock EP “Perverts.” A little over two months later, she’s announced her international ‘Willoughby Tucker Forever Tour’ in support of her forthcoming second studio album.
While on the 25-concert North American leg of the trek, the 27-year-old will make a trio of stops in New York.
First, Cain is slated to headline NYC’s Radio City Music Hall on Tuesday, Sept. 9. After that, she hits Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre on Wednesday, Sept. 10 and Buffalo’s Buffalo Outer Harbor on Saturday, Sept. 13.
“We’re going back on the road!” she shared on Instagram. “This time with the greatest band to ever do it, the one and only 9Million.”
The forthcoming album “Willoughby Tucker, I’ll Always Love You” serves as a prequel to the Tallahassee, FL native’s debut album “Preacher’s Daughter” and is slated for release in August 2025. For the uninitiated, “Willoughby Tucker” is the name of Cain’s singer’s high school boyfriend.
Fans can purchase tickets for all upcoming North American Ethel Cain shows on sites like Vivid Seats; the official on-sale for the ‘Willoughby Tucker Forever Tour’ is Friday, March 28.
Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.
They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

Ethel Cain new music
On Jan. 8, Cain surprised fans with the nine-track slowcore EP “Perverts.”
The record, which isn’t an official “album,” is a challenging listen and meant to subvert or pervert expectations. Long silences, ambient noises and muffled vocals fill “Perverts’” nearly 90-minute runtime, which is certainly a departure from the more traditional “Preacher’s Daughter.”
Still, there are glimpses of more traditional shoegaze folk rock that Cain is known for here. The seven-minute “Punish” has stretches where her ethereal singing voice is on full display over distorted guitar. “Vacillator” is a slowed-down ballad with nimble, almost hushed vocals. It’s hard to pin down exactly what Cain’s end game is here but it’s hard to not recognize this as the work of an important artist stretching their wings.
