Prince William and Kate Middleton are looking for a permanent change of scenery.
The Prince and Princess of Wales are said to be on the hunt for a shiny new property — meaning they are ready to bid adieu to Adelaide Cottage once they find their next base, the Daily Mail reports.
Insiders told the outlet that the pair, who wed in 2011, are looking for a larger home for their family that boasts more square footage, larger gardens and more privacy.
The future king and queen have resided at the plush cottage, located on the grounds of Windsor Castle, for more than two years.
As they weigh their options, sources claim that the pair are eyeing up Fort Belvedere — a stunning gothic-revival mansion located just a stones throw away from Windsor Great Park.
The 18th century property was a known favorite of King Edward VIII, who had called the place home before becoming king — and again after he abdicated the throne to marry American socialite, Wallis Simpson.
In fact, the former monarch signed his abdication papers in that very building back in 1936, making it a historic landmark that shaped the future of the British royal family.
The estate boasts a whopping 59 acres of grounds, and features an outdoor pool, rose garden, stables and tennis court — which is sure to go down a treat with Princess Catherine and Princess Charlotte, both of whom are avid fans of the sport.
Not to mention, the property comes equipped with two lakes, paddocks and three cottages for staff, making it perfect for the family of five.
“They feel they have outgrown Adelaide Cottage and need somewhere more substantial,” a source told the outlet.
“This is the perfect new home for them. It has a swimming pool and tennis court, and Charlotte loves playing tennis.”
Insiders say that while the Waleses are currently exploring their real estate options, a move is not expected to take place anytime soon.
The Post has reached out to Kensington Palace for comment.
The Prince and Princess were previously rumored to have been eyeing up Royal Lodge — the 30-room Windsor mansion where Prince Andrew currently resides.
Given the disgraced Duke of York’s many controversies over the years, it was expected that he be downsized to another property.
However, after refusing to budge, King Charles had ultimately given up on eviction efforts.

William and Catherine moved from Kensington Palace in west London to the five-bedroom residence in August 2022, along with George, 12, Charlotte, ten, and Louis, seven, as well as their beloved cocker spaniel, Orla.
The home is a ten-minute walk from Windsor Castle and only a short drive from Lambrook School, which is attended by all the three children.
Come September, however, Prince George is reportedly set to enroll at the prestigious Eton College — William and his estranged brother Prince Harry’s former school, which has long been a popular choice among royals, politicians and aristocrats.
The $82,000-per-year college is located a short stroll away from William and Kate’s family home, making it the perfect option for the future king.
Prior to committing to Eton, the young royal had toured two other schools in North London, including Highgate School.
Despite the report, Kensington Palace has yet to formally announce the future of George, Charlotte and Louis’ education.
