Will Smith is clarifying his relationship with Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The Oscar winner, 56, doesn’t want to be dragged into Diddy’s mess as the music mogul sits behind bars and awaits his sex-trafficking trial, telling an audience at a recent comedy show, “I ain’t got s–t to do with Puffy.”
Smith addressed the speculation surrounding which celebrities — if any — knew about or participated in Diddy’s alleged freak-offs, in which the Bad Boy Records founder is accused of drugging and forcing others to engage in sexual acts with male prostitutes and using the footage as blackmail, making it clear that he wasn’t one of them.
Diddy has denied the allegations against him.
“The world we’re in right now, it’s really hard for y’all to discern what’s real and what’s true,” the “King Richard” actor told the crowd while on the stage at the Observatory North Park in San Diego, Calif., on Dec. 12. “I been seein’ y’all memes and stuff. I see the memes. Some of that stuff is funny, some of it’s funny.”
In the video obtained by TMZ, Smith continued, “I just wanna say this very clearly: I don’t have s–t to do with Puffy. So you all can stop all them memes.”
He instructed everyone to “stop all of that bulls–t,” adding, “I ain’t been nowhere near no damn ‘freak off.’ Listen, I do enough of my own s–t, don’t be putting me in other people’s bulls–t.”
Smith stated, “I ain’t been nowhere near that man, ain’t did none of that stupid s–t.”
He also poked fun at the 1,000 bottles of baby oil that authorities seized from Diddy’s homes, per the unsealed federal indictment, by telling audience members, “I don’t even like baby oil.”
Smith is a father to Jaden, 26, and Willow, 24, with Jada Pinkett Smith and shares son Trey, 32, with his ex, Sheree Zampino. His comments come after Jay-Z was named in a lawsuit by a “Jane Doe,” accusing him and Diddy of allegedly taking turns raping her when she was 13 years old at an after-party following the VMAs in 2000.
Jay-Z denied the “heinous” allegations, calling the lawsuit a “blackmail attempt.”
Diddy was arrested in September on charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution, and faces mounting allegations from additional lawsuits.
Diddy pleaded not guilty to the charges and is currently sitting behind bars in a Brooklyn facility awaiting his sex trafficking trial, set for May 5, 2025.
