A 17-year-old serial rapist in Wisconsin was sentenced Tuesday to 35 years in prison for what the judge called his “monstrous” behavior.
Tremonte Kirk pleaded guilty in September to two counts of sexual assault by use of force and one count of aggravated battery.
He was accused of raping a 54-year-old woman and stomping on a surgical incision on her leg in the elevator of her Milwaukee apartment building in December 2024. He was “smiling the whole time he sexually assaulted her,” according to court records.
Prosecutors later said DNA evidence linked him to the sexual assault of another woman two months earlier in the same neighborhood, Fox6 Milwaukee reported.
Kirk, who was 16 at the time, already had a criminal record that included two earlier sexual‑assault adjudications in juvenile court — including the rape of a 75‑year-old woman in her home, prosecutors said.
During Tuesday’s sentence hearing, one of Kirk’s victims told the judge that “the serial rapist you have sitting in front of you is an existential threat to the women of Milwaukee.”
Before handing down his sentence, Judge David Borowski condemned Kirk’s “monstrous conduct,” which he said would “lead the average person to believe you are an absolute monster — that your parents raised a monster.”
He was sentenced to 35 years behind bars, meaning he will not be released until he is 52.
“This is as aggravated and depraved and sadistic and evil as it gets,” Borowski said.
Kirk apologized for his actions, saying he was “sorry” for what he did to the woman he sexually assaulted in December 2024.
“During the last few months, I have spent time trying to imagine how my crimes impacted your lives, and I can barely comprehend it,” he said, describing his own actions as “evil and selfish.”
