A 41-year-old woman died after she was found naked on the roof of a Bronx building across the street from a field where the old Yankee Stadium once stood, NYPD officials said Friday.
Police were called to the top of a building on River Ave. near E. 158th St. about 7:30 p.m. Thursday, where the woman was found unconscious.
The building is across the street from Elston Gene Howard Field, where the old Yankee Stadium stood before a new venue was built a block away on W. 161st St.
The woman died at the scene, cops said. Her name was not immediately released as cops track down family members.
There were no obvious signs of trauma, cops said. The city’s medical examiner’s office has scheduled an autopsy to determine how the woman died.
