Woman, 51, killed as crash sends cab vaulting onto Queens sidewalk

A 51-year-old woman was killed early Saturday after a yellow cab involved in a crash vaulted a Queens sidewalk, striking her and two others, police said.

The 23-year-old cabbie was driving his Toyota Rav4 cab near the corner of 115th Ave. and Lefferts Blvd. in South Ozone Park about 3:10 a.m. when he collided with a Honda Accord driven by a 25-year-old man, cops said.

The force of the crash sent the cab veering onto the sidewalk, where it struck the 51-year-old woman and two men, ages 49 and 44.
