Woman, 54, in critical condition after beaten by man and woman in Queens


A woman is clinging to life after she was severely beaten on a Queens street by two attackers who are still on the loose.

The 54-year-old woman got into an argument with a family member on Oct. 19 around 4:14 a.m. near 37th Ave. and 37th St. in Astoria when an unidentified man and woman started to punch her repeatedly, causing the woman to fall down and hit her head, cops and police sources said.

EMS transported the woman to Elmhurst Hospital where she was in critical condition.

The duo took off on foot in an unknown direction, cops said.

Cops are looking for a woman who was last seen wearing a brown sweater, shorts with stripes and black-and-white sneakers, and a man wearing blue jeans and a black T-shirt with white flowers on it.
