“Yellowstone” fans believe they know how the show will end after the series’ star Cole Hauser leaked a photo of the cast’s “last day” on set.
“Just found this picture of all of our last day together on set! @yellowstone,” Hauser, who plays Rip Wheeler, captioned the group shot via Instagram on Monday.
The photo shows Hauser with his cowboy hat off as several co-stars surround him. Kelly Reilly (Beth Dutton), Ryan Bingham (Walker), Hassie Harrison (Laramie), Forrie J Smith (Lloyd Pierce) and Jen Landon (Teeter) were among the actors in Hauser’s photo on the range.
Fans immediately flooded his comment section with wild theories about the finale based on his image, with several implying the picture speaks volumes.
“Now we know which characters don’t die ❤️,” one watcher replied.
Some thought the snap meant Wes Bentley’s character, Jamie Dutton, would be killed off because he wasn’t in the photo.
“Beth is getting Jamie in the last episode for sure,” a second person guessed.
Many begged for “Yellowstone” to go on with a Season 6. Despite Part Two of Season 5 allegedly being the end of the beloved cowboy series, rumors have swirled that a possible spinoff is in the works that will focus on Rip and Beth.
“Please let’s keep Yellowstone or its spinoff with this entire cast going…there’s never been a series so uniquely special than this phenomenal creation!!!” one fan wrote.
“Words cannot express how much i am going to miss this show.. but i do find it funny that the promos are saying ‘season finale’ and not ‘series finale’ — it has me saying ‘hmmm what are they not telling us,” another commented.
“Boy y’all were missed!!! PLEASE don’t make us wait too long for season 6!!! One more episode left in season 5!!!” begged someone else.
Some eagle-eyed fans even pointed to Beth’s outfit — a black-and-white shirt with a denim skirt — which she wore on Season 5, episode 12; however, they likely shot the season out of order.
The second part of Season 5 caused mixed reactions among fans who believe the creator, Taylor Sheridan, is killing off too many characters — starting with John Dutton, previously played by Kevin Costner. On top of that, Sheridan cast supermodel Bella Hadid as his love interest, which didn’t sit well with viewers either.
The 69-year-old actor’s patriarch character was murdered in the first episode of Season 5B after confirming his departure in June following speculation of a feud with Sheridan.
A hit man fatally shot John, and it was made to look like a suicide. Fans later find out that Sarah Atwood (Dawn Olivieri), the girlfriend of his son Jamie, orchestrated his murder plot.
In another episode, Sarah got taken out by another hit man, followed by ranch hand Colby (Denim Richards), who died in a workplace injury after getting kicked by a horse.
“Yellowstone” viewers have been on the edge of their seats waiting to see if another star will go to “the train station,” which is the show’s slang for killing someone off.
The cowboy series started in 2018 and has run for 5 seasons over 7 years.
The finale of “Yellowstone” will air at 8 p.m. on Paramount Network on Sunday, Dec. 15.
