Zoe Saldana storms Golden Globes 2025 stage for ‘Emilia Perez’

Stage crasher!

Zoe Saldaña stormed the stage at the 2025 Golden Globes after “El Mal” from her movie “Emilia Perez” won Best Original Song — sparking a big reaction on social media.

As composers Camille Dalmais and Clément Ducol went to accept the award, Saldaña, 46, could be seen rushing from her seat toward the stage.

Saldaña — who won her first Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture earlier in the night — grabbed the trophy from presenters Jeff Goldblum and Michelle Yeoh to give it to Dalmais and Ducol.

However, Goldblum, 72, awkwardly snatched the trophy back from Saldaña and handed it to the pair.

Saldaña stood off-camera for Dalmais’ acceptance speech — until she was mentioned.

“Zoe Saldaña?” Dalmais said, as Saldaña responded, “I’m right here!”

The “Avatar” star laughed and then walked on the other side of Dalmais and Ducol for the rest of the speech.

Dalmais told Saldaña and Karla Sofía Gascón that “El Mal” “wouldn’t be what it is without your performance.”

“You just shake the house and shake our souls,” she added.

Viewers called out Saldaña for the awkward moment on X (formerly Twitter).

“Zoe Saldaña we happy for you and all but gtf off the stage,” one critic tweeted.

“Why is Zoe Saldana on the stage? I know she won (and I do like her) but she really needs to sit down. #GoldenGlobes Her rambling speech was bad enough, but this is just cringe (and disrespectful TBH),” another person added.

A different viewer replied, “Totally, that was soooo weird and wrong. She wanted to be the star there.”

“Zoe Saldaña why are you on this stage again lmfao go sit down,” someone else wrote.

Another watcher tweeted, “love her but why did Zoe Saldana just show up on the stage.”

After the ceremony, Saldaña did an interview with Extra where she addressed her stage-crashing incident.

“There I go. I get up onstage. I wasn’t supposed to,” she revealed. “They told me, ‘You’re not supposed to get up.’ I remember this morning the conversation with my PR team. And then it happens. And there’s champagne on the table.”

Saldaña explained that “Emilia Perez” director Jacques Audiard told her not to go onstage, while her co-star Selena Gomez encouraged her to do so.

“Michelle Yeoh’s going, ‘Come.’ And my sister and [Netflix CEO] Ted Sarandos are right there going, ‘Don’t get up.’ And what do I do? Totally ignore them? I just remember Camille’s face when she was saying her speech, she’s just looking back like, ‘What are you doing?’”

Saldaña won her first Golden Globe for her role in the musical crime film, and gave an emotional acceptance speech on the stage.

“I don’t have much time, and I have dyslexia, so I tend to forget when I’m really anxious and I’m filled with adrenaline, but my heart is full of gratitude,” the actress said.

”Thank you so much to the Golden Globes for celebrating our film and honoring the women of Emilia Pérez,” Saldaña continued. “This is the first time for me, and I’m just so blessed that I’m sharing this moment with Selena and Karla and Jacque and all of my fellow nominees.”

She added, “I know that it’s a competition, but all that I have witnessed is just us showing up for each other and celebrating each other, and it’s just so beautiful.”
